What is romance...

Is it a physical act. No... i dont think so.

Is it what we see in movies. I doubt it.

Is it our prince wisking us off our feet and carrying us away to live happily ever after. No

If not anyone of these... then what could it be.

Someone once said romance is a subset of love. Not the picture perfect love story we read and watch and not our perfect dream of a happy ever after.

Romance is something much deeper than that. It is something that should be cherished and not perfected.

Everyone says its about the sex and the scandle filled love. Or its the relationship between two star crossed lovers like romeo and juliet. But its not.

Romance is simple an act of love... It is a spontaious act of love you do for that special someone. No mater if it means stepping out side your comfert zone or simply doing that one thing you know will make them smile you do it because you love them.

In todays society we are so lost in the idea that love has to be perfect that we forget about the truth of it all.

Romance can be as simple as fixing that thing you wife or girl friend needed fixed or giving them a reandom kiss on the nose just becasue. It can be flowers or a back rub. It can even be watching your husband or boyfriend play his video games.

Romance is simple but you can make it a special as you want. If you want to make the perfect date then awesome... but just remember that you are doing it because you love them... not because it is expected. If its expected then what is special about it.
